Purpose of the Meeting

Against the backdrop of the rise of big data, IoT, and AI research and services, as well as the further progress of digitalization triggered by the new corona infection, international networks throughout the Asia-Pacific region are rapidly becoming more advanced, with the deployment of advanced technologies and applications and the emergence of 400Gbps broadband networks.

APAN encourages international cooperation while promoting the development of new technologies and applications. APAN is a forum for providing advanced networks to the research and education community in the Asia-Pacific region and coordinating related research, development, and utilization, while encouraging international cooperation.

Through APAN, multiple collaborations have been formed across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States.

Purpose of the APAN Meeting in Japan:

  • To provide an opportunity to reconfirm Japan’s presence in the APAN research and education community
  • To seek a wide range of participants from Japan and to develop exchanges with participants in Japan and abroad
  • To create new alliances and collaborations
  • To further promote the deployment of advanced technologies
