Participants holding a passport from one of the 71 countries noted in the list below do not require a visa for a short term stay in Japan.

Passport holders of countries not included in the above list will require a set of documents prepared by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in Japan. In order to provide you with support documents for your visa application, the LOC requires you to first complete payment of registration fees.

The LOC Secreatriat will begin contacting attendees requesting visa support who have completed registration and payment beginning in early December.

Visit Japan Web (E-Arrival)

What is Visit Japan Web?
Visit Japan Web is an online service that allows both foreign visitors and Japanese citizens to complete immigration and customs procedures in advance. By using this service, travelers can shorten the procedures at the airport.


Reasons for Recommended Registration

  • Smooth immigration (quarantine) and customs procedures
  • Simply present a QR code on your smartphone for processing
  • No need to fill out a paper customs declaration form

How to Register

  1. Access the official Visit Japan Web website.
  2. Create an account and enter the required information (passport details, purpose of visit, etc.).
  3. Register your travel schedule and customs declaration details in advance.
  4. Present the QR code at the airport to streamline the process.
